Where Golf Can Change Lives
The Wadsworth Golf Charities Foundation provides ongoing charitable support to nonprofit organizations whose missions align with our commitment to making a positive difference through golf. Through Program Grants, the Foundation invests in initiatives that expand opportunities, strengthen communities and improve lives by using the game as a vehicle for education, inclusion, personal growth and service.
The Foundation supports those who create opportunities, including introducing young people to the game and helping individuals and their communities. Through golf, we can do great things together, and the Foundation helps ensure that the benefits of golf extend well beyond the course.
Investing in Meaningful Opportunities
Since its founding, the Foundation has supported organizations and programs that reflect golf’s values while addressing important community needs. Grant recipients have included youth development programs, adaptive golf initiatives, educational organizations and community-based nonprofits that introduce new audiences to the game and its lifelong lessons. Examples include support for organizations such as First Tee, which uses golf to help young people build confidence and life skills, and First Green, which connects students with science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education through the golf course environment.
Each Program Grant represents more than financial support; it is a partnership with organizations committed to creating meaningful outcomes. The Foundation carefully considers initiatives that demonstrate strong leadership, responsible stewardship and measurable impact. By supporting programs that encourage integrity and charity, the Foundation builds on a legacy that golf’s positive influence extends beyond the course and into communities.
How to Apply
The Wadsworth Golf Charities Foundation welcomes grant requests from qualified nonprofit organizations whose programs reflect our mission of strengthening communities, expanding opportunities and promoting the enduring values of golf. Applications are accepted and reviewed once each year, with funding decisions based on an organization’s mission, demonstrated need, anticipated impact and responsible stewardship of charitable resources.
The Foundation is committed to supporting initiatives that create measurable and lasting benefits. While a variety of supporting materials may be submitted, the primary consideration is the organization’s ability to clearly communicate its purpose, goals and expected outcomes.
